Reconnection

It’s been a long week for my hard working husband. Training plus curveballs has equaled overtime and decreased energy.

I am thankful D works hard for our family.

I do look forward though to the end of the week when we get a few hours to ourselves.

This week it mainly was to reconnect. To get our bearing. To check in. To issue challenges. To laugh. To listen to music and enjoy each other. No work. Just fun.

We needed that.

Later this evening we met up with an old friend of mine from high school and her husband. What a fun time reconnecting with them! They are both so sweet and a joy to be around. D and I felt refreshed by this time with them.

Joy in reconnection. It’s a good thing.
