Resurrection

Today is the reason for inexpressible joy!

Mark 16:6:6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

Romans 6:8-10 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

Ephesians 2:6-7 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Death has no power over Him. He IS the resurrection. While we were still sinners, He died for us, but it didn’t end there. Anyone can die. He ROSE. He IS risen. He is seated at the right hand of the Father.

And the beautiful part- if we choose to believe in this gift He freely gives- God raises us up, too. Death has lost it’s sting. We have victory over sin. We are made righteous. We are seated in the heavenly realms with Christ.

I seriously cannot put into words the joy that brings. I am so thankful. So loved. So humbled.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate this truth. I pray my girls learn to rejoice in this one day, too!

My prayer for you and I:

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
