This article brought me courage today.
We are known by how we love.
Especially when it’s hard.
“…loving others when its hard, when it costs us something, when it’s not convenient. By choosing to be loving even when we are wronged, misunderstood and rejected.”
For some reason, there was freedom in this statement for me.
Freedom to let go of bitterness and pride and wounds.
I know I can’t do this on my own. But, The Lord can. And I want to be known by this love.
Love that is unexpected but worth it.
Love that changes me more than it affects the other person.
Love that pours out without expecting it.
Love like the One who loved me first.
This is the love that brings joy.
